The ready for kindergarten program is a language-rich experience for all! Our kindergarten readiness program provides initial learning experiences in language development, number concepts, creative skills, and social/physical growth. Students are introduced to basic reading skills through rich shared-reading experiences. There are essential skills that the program focuses on. These skills include visual and auditory discrimination, left to right orientation, vocabulary development, whole word recognition, and the ability to recognize the relationship between letters and sounds. These concepts are taught with the help of excellent children’s literature.
